Edson and District Leisure Centre Closure Update

We are pleased to announce the reopening of the Edson and District Leisure Centre at 3:00 p.m. today. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the unexpected closure.
A number of incidents contributed to the closure, including threats made against the facility that caused concern. The safety of our patrons and staff is always our top priority. The closure was a necessary precaution to assess the situation and the matter is now with the RCMP.
We also experienced a mechanical breakdown with our ice resurfacer. Repairs are underway, and we have a backup machine available to ensure continued service.
We sincerely thank our patrons for their understanding and patience as we navigated through these challenges.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the facility at 3:00 p.m.
