What Voters Need to Know

  • are at least 18 years old
  • are a Canadian Citizen
  • are a resident of the Town of Edson on Election Day
  • can provide authorized identification

Note:  Landed immigrants and British subjects are not eligible to vote.

All voters must sign the voting register stating that they meet these qualifications before they will be given a ballot.

All voters in Edson must be on the permanent Electors Registry*. To register or check your registration, visit the Voter Link website. The Town of Edson receives its list of eligible voters from Voterlink, so please confirm your information is correct to ensure you're ready to vote.

* If you do not register before the deadline, you will still be able to vote- you can register at the voting station on Election Day.

This is a new requirement by the Province that municipalities must abide by. If you voted in a previous election, you may already be registered, but all Electors must confirm their information is up-to-date.

Registering online and making sure you are on the List of Electors will streamline the voting process on Election Day.
