Online Payments

Payment Options

The Town of Edson offers several convenient ways to pay your taxes, utilities, permits, invoices, and fines.

How can I make a payment?

E-Transfer – Send payments via e-transfer to receipts@edson.ca. Be sure to include your account number and payment details in the message to aid us in applying the transaction. If you have a utility account number, tax roll number, or customer ID, please make sure to include it.

Pre-Authorized Payments – Set up automatic withdrawals from your bank account for hassle-free payments.

Online Banking – Log into your bank’s portal and navigate to make a bill payment. Choose a Town of Edson payee option. Some banks list this as Edson (Town of). Enter your account number:

Utility Account: The utility account number specified in your invoice. Make sure to include the entire 8-digit number, including zeroes, but do not enter the decimal point (.) symbol.

Tax Roll: Your tax roll number is your account number. If your tax roll number is less than 8 digits, please include zeroes at the beginning of your roll number so it appears like the following example: 00001234.

Customer Account: Use your customer ID shown on your invoice. This ID consists of four letters and three numbers. Example: ABCD123.

If you are unsure which account number to use, please contact the Town of Edson office and ask to speak to the Finance Department.

Online Credit Card Payments – Use OptionPay to pay with a credit card. (Service fees apply.)

Pay in Person – Feel free to stop by the Civic Centre at 605 – 50th Street, Edson, AB from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Please be advised that there is a dropbox at the bottom left-hand side of our front door where you can drop off sealed envelopes with your payment.

Mail a Cheque – You can send a cheque payable to Town of Edson and mail it to: Box 6300, Edson, AB T7E 1T7. If you are using this method to pay a tax certificate, please scan the cheque and send a copy to taxes@edson.ca along with your request details to receive your tax certificate.
