Controlled Burn at Rendleman’s Lot to Dispose of Black Knot Trees and Branches

Update 3 - April 15, 9:16 AM: The controlled burn at Rendleman's Lot will continue today, Tuesday, April 15. 2025.
Update 2 - April 11, 8:32 AM: Due to wind conditions, there will be no burn today. If conditions improve, it will resume on Monday, April 14.
Update 1 - April 10, 3:30 PM: Please note that the burn will be continuing tomorrow, April 11.
This burn is being carried out as part of our tree maintenance and disease management efforts. Black Knot is a serious fungal infection that can spread rapidly if infected wood is not properly disposed of.
To ensure community safety, Town staff will be on-site throughout the burn, managing fire prevention and monitoring conditions closely.
