Government Roles

As we head into a Federal and Municipal election in 2025, it’s important to understand the different responsibilities of municipal, provincial and federal governments. Some examples include:
Municipal – Recreation facilities, local roads, waste collection, parks, and protective services (Bylaw).
Provincial – Highways, healthcare, schools, and social services.
Federal –National defense, RCMP, postal service, airports, income tax, and employment insurance.
