Meeting Schedule. A Committee of the Whole Meeting has been scheduled for April 30, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. to further discuss the Draft Land Use Bylaw.
Signing Authority Policy. Council has approved the amended Signing Authority Policy.
Willmore Park Contract. Administration provided Council with an update on the current Willmore Park Contract with the Rotary Club, as well as an update on insurance claims and efforts to re-open the overflow campground following the fire. Council has also approved the inclusion of a one-time grant of $20,000 to the Rotary Club of Edson in the 2024 Operating Budget deliberations to be held on April 23, 2024.
2023 Audited Year-end Financial Statement Extension. Council has approved a request to apply for an extension to June 30, 2024, to submit the Financial Statement and Financial Information Return to Municipal Affairs. Several factors have led to the delay in submission, including the 2023 wildfires and flooding, and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position being vacant for an extended period.
Next meetings – A 2024 Operating Budget Meeting is scheduled for April 23, 2024, at 7:00 pm, in Council Chambers. A Committee of the Whole Meeting is scheduled for April 30, 2024, at 7:00 pm, in Council Chambers.
