End-of-Season Facility Closures: What You Need to Know

Posted on

As summer draws to a close, it’s time to start preparing for the seasonal shutdown of some of our favourite community facilities. Whether you’ve spent your summer splashing around at the Spray Park, enjoying a game of soccer, or taking in the beautiful community gardens, we want to thank you for making the most of what Edson has to offer. Here are the details you need to know about the upcoming closures:

Spray Park:
The Spray Park has been a go-to spot for fun and cooling off this summer. As the cooler weather approaches, the park will close for the season on Friday, September 6th. Be sure to get in your last visit before it shuts down!

Soccer Fields and Community Gardens:
If you’re a soccer enthusiast or an avid gardener, mark your calendars for Thursday, September 12th. That’s the final day the soccer fields, soccer building, and community gardens will be open. We encourage everyone to make the most of these spaces while they’re still available.

Vision Park:
Fall Ball at Vision Park has been a highlight for many, and we’re so glad to have seen such great participation this year. The final game of the season will be on Friday, September 20th. Afterwards, Vision Park will officially close on Monday, September 23rd. Please make sure to collect any personal items before we secure the area and prepare for the off-season.

Sani Dump Closure Update:

The Town of Edson Sani Dump will remain open, weather permitting, but is scheduled to close for the season on October 7th. Please plan your final RV dumping accordingly!

We’ll keep you updated if there are any changes due to weather conditions.

We understand that these closures mark the end of some much-loved summer activities, but they also give us the chance to maintain and prepare these facilities for the next season. Stay tuned for reminders about each specific closure, and thank you for your continued support and involvement in our community!
