Construction Notice - Hwy 16 and 54th Street

The Town of Edson is currently replacing underground sanitary pipe on Highway 16, near 54th Street. These upgrades are essential in order to upsize the existing sanitary pipe to prevent future system flooding.

 

The intended start date for construction on the Westbound portion of Highway 16 will commence on June 6th, with an expected duration of one week, weather dependent.

 

This work will result in the Westbound portion of Highway 16 being reduced to one lane during the above dates.

 

Businesses/Residents will not be able to access 54th street from Highway 16 during this time, so please plan alternate routes. Individuals requiring access to 54th Street South of 1st Ave, please use 51st Street.

 

For the safety of our workers, and the public, please adhere to all traffic signage posted within the construction zone. Please see the attached map showing the area that will be affected during construction.
