High Water Level Alert

This is an Alberta Emergency Alert for the Town of Edson. The Town of Edson is issuing a High Water Level Alert.
Due to the heavy rainfall, we are seeing localized flooding in areas around creeks and ponds in and around the community. 6th Avenue is closed at 47th Street to allow pumps to be set up. Water is flowing across 2nd Avenue (Highway 16 east) near 48 Street and drivers are warned to use extreme caution. This is being monitored closely for safety hazards and the road may be closed if deemed dangerous to the public.
Avoid floodwaters. Flood water can be fast moving and may surge, creating dangerous conditions. Prepare your property if you live near high water areas, safeguard belongings and pets. Stay updated on the situation at www.edson.ca or official social media pages.
