Bear in Town

As has been reported in the community throughout the weekend, there has been a bear spotted around Edson over the past few days. The bear was last reported in the area of 43rd Street and 8th Avenue, but also spotted in Glenwood and along 63rd Street.
Fish and Wildlife is aware and are keeping an eye on the situation, but as it’s sticking to a natural foraging routine so far, there are not relocating the bear at this time. They are requesting residents clean out any fruit trees and bird feeders to encourage the bear to move on.
Please keep an eye on pets and be cautious on the trails as well.
