Boys Action Packed Camp: July 15-18


Location: Kinsmen Park - meet at Kinsmen Shack

Spend your summer unplugged with Edson Youth Interagency, and the return of our Action-Packed camps! These camps are for youth ages 10-14 and will include activities like; gymnastics, field trips, canoeing, team building, tie-dying, sports, cooking, swimming, outdoor pursuits, and more!

Camps run 9:30am-3:30pm, Monday-Thursday. Pick-up and dropoff at Kinsmen Shack (located in Kinsmen Park). $125/week. Space is limited.

This camp will include walking to different locations in town, and using bus transportation to visit other locations. A full itinerary will be provided closer to the camp. These camps are a cellphone-free zone. Additional waivers will be required.

Red Brick Arts Centre & Museum Explore Nature


Location: Red Brick Arts Centre & Museum

The Red Brick Arts Centre & Museum presents Explore Nature Day! The full-day camp where children will explore the different elements of nature. We will do crafts such as tree art, homemade birdhouses, and lanterns. There will be lots of outside activities such as nature scavenger hunts, and outdoor games and adventures. Explore Nature Camp is focused on spending the majority of the day outside exploring! We will be making chocolate-covered pretzel crafts.

Red Brick Arts Centre & Museum Blast From The Past Day


Location: Red Brick Arts Centre & Museum

The Red Brick Arts Centre & Museum presents Blast From The Past! Blast From The Past has been a long-standing summer camp for many years. This year we will be doing lots of fun activities and games such as an escape room, trivia, and scavenger hunts. We will be making homemade ice cream, jello, and a party mix. We will do lots of "old time" games that fit the theme. As well as crafts the kids can take home to play with.

Renaissance Faire Celtic Concert with Celtic Routes

Hear Ye Hear Ye! Thou hast been summoned to partake in the merriment and festivities of the first annual Edson Renaissance Faire! 

Thine ticket for the Saturday eve concert includes admission to the food faire and concert with Celtic musicians Celtic Routes from Lethbridge. 

Doors open at 7:00. Angus & Dolina will play until 7:30 when Celtic Routes will take over.

The event is licensed but open to all ages. Cash Bar. The venue is outdoors under a tent to please dress accordingly and bring bug spray.

Red Brick Arts Centre & Museum Baker's Dozen


Location: Red Brick Arts Centre & Museum

The Red Brick Arts Centre & Museum presents Baker's Dozen. This was a very popular summer camp from last year! Baker's Dozen allows kids to learn basic cooking and baking skills, build confidence in the kitchen, and work alongside peers to follow recipes safely and effectively. We will be baking a variety of treats such as apple doughnuts, fruit salad, homemade ice cream sandwiches, and cake pops. We will also make mini pizzas for lunch and mini pretzels. There will be lots of leftovers for them to bring home too!

YIA Wild Wednesday: River Slides & Mini Golf @ Whitecourt


Location: Meet at Griffith's Park Centre

Join YIA as we hit the road and head to Whitecourt for a round of mini golf, followed by an afternoon at Festival Park. Bring a tube or borrow one of ours to hit the river slides. Please pack a lunch or bring money for the concession. Snacks provided. Bus departs Griffith's Park Centre parking lot at 9:00am, and will return by 4:00pm.

YIA Wild Wednesday: Pool & Pumptrack @ Niton


Location: Meet at Griffith's Park Centre

Join YIA as we travel to Niton for a swim in their outdoor pool and time on the pumptrack and park space. Don't forget your scooter and helmet! Location: Red Brick Arts Centre & Museum

The Red Brick Arts Centre & Museum presents Mad Scientist. Mad Scientst was a very popular camp from previous summers. We will be doing lots of experiments such as an egg drop, ghost rockets, elephant toothpastes, rainbow bubble blowing, and more. We will be doing crafts such as DIY bouncy balls and slime. We will also play science themed games outside. We will be making science themed cookies that they can eat as a snack in the afternoon.

Location: Red Brick Arts Centre & Museum

The Red Brick Arts Centre & Museum presents Beach Day! Beach Day will be our final camp of the summer so we want to end it with a blast! We will be doing lots of beach themed crafts and activities such as making kinetic sand, slime, jellyfish sun catchers, and more. We will be doing lots of outside beach day themed games. We will be making our own homemade popsicles, and beach themed cupcakes that they can eat during the afternoon snack.

Tri-Activity Day

Join us for a fun-filled day of gymnastics, swimming, and biking! Ages 8-14.

Please note that the drop-off and pick-up locations are different to accommodate all of the fun activities we have planned!

Drop-off: Edson Tumblers Gymnastics Club (5528-1st Ave)

Pick-up: Edson & District Leisure Centre (1021-49th St)

Participants require a bike with working brakes, helmet, nut-free lunch/snacks, labeled water bottle, swimsuit/towel, and a backpack to carry their belongings while biking. Sunscreen and a bike lock are recommended.

Alberta Outdoor Adventure Expo


Location: Medicine Lodge Rodeo Grounds

As the attached poster shows (as well as our website at www.aoaexpo.com) we are an event that acts like summer camp for the whole family. Our Expo runs from Aug 30, 31 and Sept 1 and 2 in 2024 at the Medicine Lodge Rodeo Grounds. We want to see as many local vendors and public as possible come and enjoy themselves for shopping, camping, scavenger hunts, fireside chats, friendship building and course offers. Edson Orcas Swim Club Annual Bottle Drive


Location: Town of Edson (drop off location Kinsmen park)

Our swimmers will be heading out around town collecting bottles to help fundraise for our club. We will also have a drop off location at Kinsmen Park (parking lot by the spray park).
